NETGEAR WNDR4000 N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Open Source Router - IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: There are none.

Cons: This is total junk. Dont buy it. The wireless is really strange and more than half the devices in the house will not connect though the devices see the router. Lots of connection issues on the wireless side. The devices that do connect have preiodic disconnect issues.

Athena Power AP-MFATX35 350W Mini ITX / Micro FLEX ATX / ATX12V 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply for many HP Slimline System Upgrades/Replacement
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: When it works it worksm, however you have to get passed the failing right out of the box.

Cons: The product has a Quality Control (QC) sticker on it so I have to wonder if it was ever plugged in because both failing power supplies failed right away in seconds never powering the PC.

I am knocking this down 4 eggs because of the bad failures and the fact that Athena places this harsh statement of inconvenience in the RMA disclaimer.

"Customer is responsible for all freight charges and a $15 handling fee per bill of lading"

You’re kidding me, a $15 handling fee for warranty to me for their failing product plus I get to pay to ship it there. Thats crazy. Give me a break.

Other Thoughts: I am reconsidering using a different power supply in my systems.

3 out of 5 eggs CP550SLG, Battery User Replaceable??? 01/17/2011

This review is from: CyberPower Standby Series CP550SLG 550 VA 330 W 8 Outlets UPS

Pros: This seems to be a good UPS. All I need it is for about 3 minutes to send one alarm out before the PC shutsdown. Maybe 2 or 3 minutes.

Cons: Newegg list this as a user replaceable batter, however if you go to CyberPower's web site, it says the opposite. Then if you look at the CyberPower techs response toa reveiwer, he says it is also replaceable and another reviewer also says not replaceable. Who is right and who is wrong? The link to CyberPower says not Replaceable.

Other Thoughts: I was just about to order this and now holding out unless I figure out if the battery is replaceable. I would like to think that the web site is wrong from some non detail technical writer who is doing too much cut and paste but who knows. Anyone knows for sure if the CP550SLG is really a user replaceable battery?
