This review is from: Astro Gaming A40 Over Ear PC Gaming Headset - Dark Grey
Pros: Fits nicely on my big head! Id say it fits about like my old Razer headset, if not a bit better. Speaking of Razer, these cans come w/ nice packaging, and our nicely constructed (style) A friend reports that my microphone is the best hes ever heard it sound..
Cons: I did also add an SBz to my rig. So, I cant really brag on how much a difference these Cans make. Hopefully if someone disagrees after purchase, they have time to post what they feel is more awesome...
The only con (for me anyway) is that I find myself accidentally adjusting the sound volume, which is conveniently located @ chest level when wearing.. But its almost a nice trade-off to easily add volume and/or change the level based on need..
Other Thoughts: Trust me that you cannot really skimp on your Headset (Cans).. ex. I tried the SS 3Hv2 for @ $40, and was so PO'd..
If you visit the Astro website, you can purchase addon magnetic covers that depict gaming art.. I was kinda hoping my set came w/ Hardline depicted.. Nope, just stock! (still Sweet) It might be worth considering which color Headset you order, if planning to accessorize at a later date!
btw They are currently out of stock! This means they wont let ya order and wait forever like some other store(s) But feel free to check other reviews too..
p.s. If ya go the Sennheiser route, Id suggest spending closer to $250. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826106695 ($179! w/ free shipping currently)
This review is from: Medal of Honor: Warfighter Limited Edition PC Game
Pros: This is a real FPS (afaik every tactic is rewarded)
Cons: The game-play had issues at launch (spawning out of bounds etc.)
Other Thoughts: This game is Fun! BF3 guys used to ace squad pins, may not be rewarded as kindly (more kill or be killed), but if your fireteam can hold its own in WF, Bf3 play should be awesomeREAD FULL REVIEW
