This review is from: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-Bit Home Premium for System Builders Single Pack DVD
Pros: The interface is almost as nice as some of the Windowblinds skins currently available for XP. Also, it's nice to see some (very) tiny improvements across the board.
Cons: I'm a PC person and fell for the marketing. The main new features I noticed were: 1. Exasperating security popups (please log in as an administrator to open the program "Notepad.exe" 2. Terrible search design 3. Memory hog for no ostensible benefit--it just takes twice the memory to do what XP already does. The 5-step search bar is a special treat. Type your query anywhere and a mysterious blue bar stumbles across the screen slowly and returns nothing. After 4 clicks you can convince it to search everywhere.
Other Thoughts: You can get a better version of every significant new feature on XP (Windowblinds for the interface, Google Desktop for search, etc.) It's really a bloated waste of money that will not only leave you disappointed, but actively annoy you.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Worked great for 5 months
Cons: Then it died. That's not a good use of my money.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The size is a given--it's like moving from a trailer to a mansion--but the screen is bright and crisp, with excellent angles that don't fade to grey at the top/bottom/edges, which is good because you'll have to turn your head to see the other side of the screen.
Cons: Due to the egg price at the time, I had to buy this elsewhere, and it's been a complete customer service (RMA for a stuck pixel) nightmare.
Other Thoughts: I'm going pay the return shipping and buy one from the egg instead, who has never done me wrong.READ FULL REVIEW
