Antec 30300 Three Hundred 5.25
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

4 out of 5 eggs OK but a tight fit 09/30/2012

This review is from: Antec 30300 Three Hundred 5.25" to 3.5" Drive Bay Adapter Assembly

Pros: Matches my Antec 300 case perfectly

Cons: Paired it with a BYTECC 1.44M floppy drive. The drive wouldn't fit into the bracket. I had to file the bracket's edges down with a hand file to insert the drive.

After that, everything went smooth.

Other Thoughts: Designed for an Antec model 300 case. If you have another brand, you're better off buying a generic mounting bracket.

PNY VCGGTX550TVXPB GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi) 1GB 192-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Built solid, lifetime warranty, plenty fast. Installed with no problems, replacing a Radeon setup. Came with a Molex adaptor in case your power supply doesn't have a six-pin connector. Packaging was bullet-proof. Wish all companies would do likewise.

Cons: Drivers on the included CD were quite old, but they got it up and running and I had no problems downloading the latest versions from nVidia's website.

Other Thoughts: Bought from another vendor for $115 and free shipping. Was going to buy the newly released GTX 650 until I found out it cost more and was slower. Newer is not always better.

Not a heavy gamer, so I have no useful numbers. I was impressed with the overall quality of PNY's card.

BIOSTAR A960A3+ AM3+ AMD RX881 + SB710 ATX AMD Motherboard

5 out of 5 eggs A sleeper 08/22/2012

This review is from: BIOSTAR A960A3+ AM3+ AMD RX881 + SB710 ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Good layout, 4 Dimm slots, plenty of room around the CPU and 3 PCI slots.

Cons: No USB 3.0

Other Thoughts: This board is the update for Biostar's A770E3 AM3 mobo. I own both boards and they were easy to install and rock solid. Worked right out of the box.

A great value at $70 plus $8 shipping. My FX-8100 95W CPU is running fine under a gigantic Rosewill RCX-ZAIO-92 cooler with all 4 memory slots filled. Everything fit.

I highly recommend this motherboard.
