MSI GeForce GTX 1070 DirectX 12 GTX 1070 GAMING X 8G 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support ATX Video Card

Pros: Beefy design, great clocking, good user support and VRM plate for aftermarket cooling installs.

Cons: I see many reviews stating people won't buy this card because of the warranty void on removal sticker placed on the heatsink. Well, a simple call to MSI states that is there to deter beginners. They stated to me I can apply whatever cooler I like and they will RMA if it fails just return the stock cooler with the card and ensure there is no physical damage to the card itself.

Other Thoughts: Installed my old MK-26 cooler, temps are 55C during heavy gaming loads... Thanks MSI for being the ONLY VENDOR who releases their cards with VRM/Ram sinking to allow for EASY aftermarket cooling installation. Kudos.

Also - Your overclocking experience may vary.. at 1440p my card likes 2000-2025Mhz. 1080p it sure does fancy 2050+. Gsync and other features may cause variance, but don't believe people who claim 2150+.. sure, maybe your card hits 2150+ for a few moments before it starts to throttle down over extended periods. Plus, the 50Mhz difference is really small apples. +200 memory is the max on my card.

5 out of 5 eggs Bad QC on this one... ***Update** Got a decent one!!! 07/13/2016

This review is from: GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 DirectX 12 GV-N1070G1 GAMING-8GD 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Video Card

Pros: ** Latest **
This card came through very clean and works well. Beware though, this is a noisy card! Mine is stable @ 2025, +600 on memory too. Not as good as the defective card but hey - it works as it should. Stock the cards boosts 1950+ so..thats nice :D The stock paste job from Gigabyte is exceptional, I was surprised. Happy fragging!

**Newegg has really come through in regards to my bad experience and their shipping delay. They adjusted shipment around my schedule and worked with me to make sure I was satisfied. I get my replacement 1070 G1 Thursday and I don't care if it explodes this time, I'll never buy parts from another company** major kudos egg'ers

2050+Mhz

Cons: First card fried fan stop LED (small amount of smoke too) first time firing it up. Card still worked but Im not risking it. Poor paint & glue/sticky residue on shroud. Went right back to newegg and now I'm stuck cardless!

Other Thoughts: This is the only non reference PCB that isn't overly wide.

Pros: Looks good, fast Gsync, AWESOMEE

Cons: Had to OC to avoid Gsync screen offset.. if it happens to you alt tabbing/exiting gsync you'll know. Easy fix though.
minor bleed, they crank brightness up to make it seem nonexistent out of the box
