Pros: update to my previous review. i followed tech support's advice to make this the same ssid as my router. however none of my devices were able to switch automatically, this include iphone 5s, galaxy s4, ipad 4, lenovo laptop, sony laptop.

nonetheless i appreciate the help from tech support, which i didn't even solicit.

Cons: has different ssid.

Pros: low cost. compact design

Cons: it only works well if i'm connect to the ssid of the extender when i'm far away from my router. I thought wifi extenders is supposed to only extend/broadcast the router's ssid but not have it's own. it's a hassle to have to constantly switch ssid that i'm connected to as I walk around the house. but if i turn off the extender's ssid, then it becomes virtually useless.
