EVGA 220-PS-1000-V1 80 PLUS Platinum 1000 W 7 yr Warranty ECO Mode Fully Modular NVIDIA SLI Ready and Crossfire Support Super Silent continuous Power Supply
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Perfectly reliable
Modular design
Everything's black, which helps fit with any color scheme.

Cons: Cables were very stiff, especially the SATA power cables. Some day, a PSU will come with SATA power cables that you can plug in to several drives in a line without having to turn one of them around (usually the middle one).

Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold - 800W Power Supply with 80 PLUS Gold Certification and Semi-Modular Cables
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Good amperage for Crossfire operations, quiet, great efficiency, small bag for extra cables.

Cons: none. (with my luck, it will die tomorrow lol)

Other Thoughts: How do you know it's great? It hasn't dropped price since I bought it.
I replaced it November 2015, and not because it failed. I was given a pair of 290X cards, and figured I should replace it with a bigger PSU to run both.

GIFT AMD GOLD 3 GAMES 2014 (Up to $150 Retail Value)
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

4 out of 5 eggs Games need updated 08/10/2014

This review is from: GIFT AMD GOLD 3 GAMES 2014 (Up to $150 Retail Value)

Pros: Free games, so we can't complain THAT much.

Cons: However, they haven't changed the games (according to the picture) for over a year. And the Indie packs, IMO, are a joke. Why are they even on there?

Other Thoughts: After a year, I have to deduct a year for not updating the games. Usually, I see the "free games" and get excited, but right now it's tempered because they haven't changed. I'd consider getting a new card, but they don't help sell it.
