Pros: Price, Features, quiet. This is a no-brainer purchase. Was a little worried with some of the playback comments. Mine runs stutter free at 1080p. Perhaps because I have 8GB of memory? Perhaps because I bumped the video memory to 512MB?
Cons: Thermal pads used. During playback of a blu-ray disk, CPU temp reached 69C. I see some said a miniscule amount of thermal grease was found. Mine had 1/2" - 5/8" square thermal pads attached to the heat sink totally covering the top of each chip. However, it was thick and crumbly. I carefully removed the "crud" and cleaned with alcohol. Then I applied extremely thin layers of Arctic Silver to the heat sink areas and to the top of each chip. Ran the same blu-ray disk, same areas. Typically 55C with a few creeps into 57C. That's at least 12C less. My idle is 44C.
Other Thoughts: Change out the thermal pad/grease. Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64. Using Cyberlink PowerDVD 11 for blu-ray playback. I ordered another!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It works, doesn't take a slot up in your computer and let's you use it from any computer in your network.
Other Thoughts: You can ignore the non 5 ratings. One guys is in Canada and didn't bother checking to see if this would work for him before purchasing, the guy that gets "only 59 out of 128" is either getting all he could possibly get out of his antenna or from his cable provider and the other guy, he's just done way too many pharmaceuticals.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: I agree with most of the pros.
Cons: However, the resolution is not supported by many laptops that are only a few years old. So you better make sure your video card/chipset supports this resolution otherwise you'll be stuck with 1024x768 and black bars on either side. That's a waste of 25% of the width.READ FULL REVIEW
