This review is from: WD TV Media Player (WDBYMN0000NBK-HESN)
Pros: Been using some incarnation of this product for the last 7-8 years, its older then my kids. Throws about every file i've ever thrown at it the only thing i've ever seen it choke on was 12-bit video that was poorly encoded to begin with. Handles .mkv, .avi, .mpeg, .iso (dvd-rips) with menus, and much more. 1080p's over network psssh no problem this little puppy can even handle 3d files if they are SBS or
Cons: You don't own one yet.
Other Thoughts: this is the smaller version of the WDTVLiveHub which includes a 1TB hdd and NAS/DNS capability.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: DD-WRT Supported, Rosewill RNX-N150RTv2 - Wireless N150 Wi-Fi Router - IEEE 802.11 b/g/n, Up to 150 Mbps Data Rates, 5 dBi Fixed Antenna, WDS Bridge Connection, QoS and VPN Supported
Pros: It Was free and i want my money back!
Cons: Drops internet (not wifi) several times a day requiring hard reboot every single time, and sometimes a factory reset. Interface is decent but does no good if the unit doesn't function as intended. Both the AC750RT and the N150RT that i recieved from Rosewill both did this, so as expected from a 3rd rate bargain company the stuff worked for about a month and stopped working just outside of its return/warranty date. I recommend buying a different brand even if it is $50-70 dollars cheaper and you find it at the bottom of a flee market bin, still probably work better then this piece.
Other Thoughts: Got this thing free with the RNX-AC750RT i purchased, which was just as big of a piece of junk, and return shipping for this was more then the unit cost for shipping the first time!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: under $100 and dual band
Cons: after only 45 days of use constantly drops wifi and lan from internet (6-8 times a day) which requires a reboot of the router every single time to fix.
Other Thoughts: Rosewill is known for making cheap products, they are a budget brand. Do yourself a favor and buy something with better quality control. This seems to happen every time i buy anything with the Rosewill name it works somewhere around a month then stops right after the return or warranty period is over.READ FULL REVIEW
