This review is from: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Nicely built and packaged board. Most popular 1155 on Newegg
Cons: The PCIe slots on this particular board are faulty (Win7 Ultimate installed). I used three video cards to test. My main card is a MSI 660ti, which wouldn't boot on PCIe#1 as soon as I install nvidia driver (many different versions tried, same result). It can boot on PCIe#2 but the display driver crashes constantly in Win7. I had much better luck with a Gigabyte 660ti but the card benchmarks less than 50% what it should be. The same story goes with a MSI GTX275. All three cards perform normally in other computers. I tried resetting BIOS etc. with no luck. I finally replaces the Asrock board with an ASUS. Everything else being exactly the same, the ASUS installation was a breeze and the system performs with no issue.
Other Thoughts: I didn't not try to get a replacement from Asrock because I lost confidence in this particular model after the issues I had. Therefore I cannot comment on Asrock service. This is my first and probably last Asrock board. I will stay with ASUS in the future.READ FULL REVIEW

This review is from: Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe Dual-Core 2.66GHz LGA 775 65W Processor BX80557E6750
Pros: Performance / Price; overclockability (is that a word?)
Cons: It's not an E8400?
Other Thoughts: I grew tired of waiting for the 8400 so went for the 6750. O'Ced to 3Ghz it gives me double the performance of my old AMD 4000+. I know it can O'C to even higher. I may try that after the arctic silver totally sets in between the CPU and fan (manual says it takes up to 200 hours).READ FULL REVIEW
