simply amazing
Pros: this has to be the quietest power supply I've seen for 750w I felt it operate before I heard it it was an eye opener
Cons: none
Overall Review: wish these came with zip ties or some type of wire loom to make it a little neater when I do my installation
they're fans
Pros: kept the HDD cooler than little air blowing by it
Cons: even weekly cleanings on my machine, these get noisy.even after re-oiling them.
Overall Review: could've been a better wiring/wire management setup,or plugin for this unit, but the price is good for a little fan that will work for a while.
budget friendly great case!
Pros: this is my 3rd antec computer case product,I really like their design and layouts.most attractive about this product is economically friendly.not modular, but for the purpose I have in mind modular was not what I was looking for.I do like the way the access panels swing open makes it different than other cases.rounded edges on the mobo mounting plate for wire routing/cable management. No sharp edges either.
Cons: some things on this product to me didn't sit well with me these are 1,the side mounted port for your choice to fill it with a 120mm fan or not, maybe for some people that aren't running a v-card that doesn't need a fan nearby to help cool it if you include a block off plate of some kind? My only other issue is there is fan speed selector switches, which is great BUT there is no way to externally mount/recess mount or move them where you like to IMO out of the way or easy adjustment without removing the access panel/s and doing so.
great price and product
Pros: 1 quiet, 2 runs cool, 3 modular 80+ bronze cert is a great plus in my book.this is the first PSU I've bought outside another name brand that I usually go with.So far this one isn't bad,it's still running strong.no heating issues and I have my PSU bottom mounted and it even seems to help with the overall case temperature.
Cons: This PSU has a few nitches I found.the biggest problem is that the wire length/cable length was just too short for some of the wire routing I wanted.if the makers only put at least another inch, two inches would have been awsome, this would have got my 5 egg rating regardless.I have a mid size tower and Ii don't like wires/cables interfering with airflow efficiency.so if you have backboard wiring routing in mind I strongly suggest another product unless you have a mini/micro mobo/parts to use this PSU with.Perhaps it would better the product to label itself what size of case it is best recommended for?And would it kill manufacturers to include zip ties or some other kinds of wire/cable organization hardware?I know most of us that build our own machines have them in our toolboxes but I know plenty of people that won't.
Overall Review: not necessarily a "con" so to say,and as all computers go without saying, regular cleaning is a must,I have prescreens on my case ,fairly wide filters, but this PSU tends to get dusty easily and quickly.lastly on a scale of 1-10 (1) being the least and (10) being the worst the wire /cable flexibility seems a bit still to me rate it a 3 on that scale.was noticeable but for me was not enough to call it a "con"but it may be for some other people.
my new favorite
Pros: great cooling, always kept my i7 below 167F just as a avid gamer nothing hardcore.
Cons: it's bulky when you install it,I had to ditch my old case and get another to get this to work. It's also difficult to clean a can of air just wont get all the dust off the copper fins, you have to wipe them off.
Overall Review: price is a little steep but if you are upgrading from a stock heatsink/fan to this you can't go wrong, just measure before you buy for clearances.also my new case I mentioned has prescreen filters so this heatsink stays cleaner longer.
good while it lasted
Pros: fast hard drive while it was operational
Cons: hard drive failed after 30 months.
Overall Review: I've always been a die hard fan of WD's hard drives this one left me disappointed.makes me wish I had a warranty on it now.
