This review is from: Rosewill RC-505 - 2-Port USB 3.0 PCI Express Card
Pros: Works in Mac OS X 10.9 in my Mac Pro Early 2008! And it works at USB 3.0 Speed!
Cons: Need to install a driver.
Other Thoughts: Works in OS X, I installed a driver from Lacie and it works great. I did not give the card power and it still works. I assume this is because I am using a device with it's own power supply.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: SYBA SY-PCI40010 PCI SATA II (3.0 Gb/s) RAID Controller Card
Pros: Cheap, works with Mac OS X
Cons: Doesn't have 8 ports?
Other Thoughts: I put this in my Hackintosh I had a ZFS pool built on the onboard SATA expecting to loose my data and reformat. Once I searched for a Mac driver and installed it my pool mounted! I'm running Mac OS X 10.7 with ZEVO community edition.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: One stick works great.
Cons: One stick is dead, had to call Newegg because they won't replace just the bad DIMM, and I can't go the 2-3 weeks it takes to complete the RMA processes. As I'm on the phone it becomes "out of stock" and we'll have to do a refund. I paid 77.99 for these and they decide to refund me 60.38, WHAT??
Other Thoughts: I have other RAM I RMAed with Newegg that I order 3 weeks ago originally and it should be here tomorrow. The RMA process is slow if you don't call and give them a card to charge. I will never use Geil products again, and we'll see how the phone rep handles this tomorrow to see if I stay with Newegg. I am a "Prime" member other places and get free shipping or overnight for four bucks.READ FULL REVIEW
