Note to self: buy more usb devices

ASUS P6T Deluxe/OC Palm LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P6T Deluxe/OC Palm LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Wow, this board is funtastic in every way, i'm not sure who decided on 14 usb ports, but none the less, connections are easy to find on this board. i'm most impressed on the design, it truley is amazing, everything is placed perfectly to the extent that i couldn't remember how i ever built a pc before. the front panel q-connect thing is such a great idea, you plug the front panel connectors into it, then the q thing, into the motherboard. i think there may be too many bios options, the expressgate thing is nice to have in times of need, the sata ports are designed perfectly. def worth the money, you always get what you pay for

Cons: i'm not sure if it was the cables i had or the board itself, but plugging those SATA cables in felt dangerous... my windows install was a bit odd taking very long to bring up the setup boxes, but after about an hour, everything was running just fine, do the bios update to avoid expressgate and 1600MHz memory errors.

Overall Review: The Palm OC thing is handy if your as paranoid as i am, i like to know the temp of the cpu and mobo constantly, now whenever my pc is on i have a secondary display for that info, and the temps by the way, are pretty impressive, 34c on the cpu during idle, and about 32c for the mobo, under load i topped out at around 46c on the cpu, but i didn't really stress test it, so that number may be a bit low. after a temp problem with an AMD board in the past, i was worried, but ASUS has done right by me this time, i think newegg should put more of it's impressive features in the specs area, q-connect for life baby!

SAMSUNG Instinct SPH-m800 Black 3G Sprint Cell Phones
SAMSUNG Instinct SPH-m800 Black 3G Sprint Cell Phones

Pros: It gives accurate time... and has some fantastic ring tones

Cons: SAMSUNG- that's the first problem, anything they make, besides LCD's apparently, is usually not good. I should have learned my lesson from my previous phone, which was also a samsung. the iPhone has this thing beat without a problem, and i am NOT an apple fan. They used the wrong type of touch screen, it's glitchy, throws itself all over the place and doesn't like any sort of slow long movement. the web browser fails when you open anything, and it isn't just the web browser, it fails the entire phone. links on the news area that have a little video icon, they don't do anything but bring you back to the main screen, the navi can't keep up with your driving speed, and by speed i mean 10mph, you got to enter in the address, then cancel the route, then reload it for it to work right. the onscreen keyboard is HORRIBLE. email notification doesn't work right. sprint\samsung should have had focus groups with people, real human beings, before releasing something as bad as this phone

Overall Review: The camera is too good for it's own screen, so you'll never know how a picture looks until you upload it, after doing updates on the phone, i never notice a SINGLE difference, it doesn't actually come with any games, and the ones you can buy are baaad, they have there own set of glitches to get used too as well. This is the last chance samsung gets in my book, i can't believe i fell for this Avoid this phone at all costs, either get a zack morris phone from the early 90's, or get whatever everyone else has, not this

4 Terabibbles

Seagate Desktop HDD ST4000DM000 4TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate Desktop HDD ST4000DM000 4TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Being a fan of the 3TB, I had to try the 4TB. This is a very quiet drive overall. This is mainly because of its slow spin speed of 5900RPM, which also helps keep it cool. On idle the drives are about 27c-28c with the room around 74f. Using 3 of these in a ZFS gives me a steady 100MB/s Read\Write speed with large file transfers.

Cons: I have 3 of these drives in a ZFS pool and the spin up time is so slow compared to other Seagate drives I've used. Previously I had 4 750GB Seagate drives and 2 3TB Seagate in the same config which all woke up in my NAS at the same time within 3-5 seconds and were readily accessible on my network. These 4TB leave me hanging for at least 15-20 seconds before they fully spin up, which I would say is because of the 5900RPM spin speed. I can't blame Nas4Free since the same config with other drives had no issues. Also, during large file transfers, after one file is completed, there is a considerable pause before it writes the next file. Again, did not happen with any previous drive configuration using the same software, box, and network.

Overall Review: Despite the slowness on the spin up, the drives have been consistent and stable in their performance... and isn't that what's most important here. Out of over 30 drives from Seagate purchased at my place of work and my home, I have only experienced 2 drives that failed in a short period time (which Seagate replaced under warranty very quickly, and with a bigger sized drive mind you). Otherwise, every drive has been solid with any minor issues being addressed by a firmware update. 4TB is a lot of data, and if you like said data, get two of these bad boys and do a mirror. If you're not familiar with what that is, at least manually move the data to another just to make sure you have a backup. This is a relatively inexpensive drive, but let's be honest, it's waaaaay cheaper than what 4TB of data would be worth to you.

I know, it's just a case

eForCity TPU Rubber Skin Case Compatible With Samsung© Epic 4G Touch SPH-D710, Black S Shape
eForCity TPU Rubber Skin Case Compatible With Samsung© Epic 4G Touch SPH-D710, Black S Shape

Pros: Perfect fit on my SPH-D710 Samsung Galaxy S2 from Sprint, cheap price.

Cons: Plastic on the back can be scratched rather easily, but it's better than scratching the back of the phone

Overall Review: I know, it's just a case, but for $5 this thing is fantastic. I was about to spend $40 on a casemate, but after seeing my brothers there was no way i was going with something that big. Struggling to take my phone out of my pants pocket is not a good thing. This case has the perfect amount of bendable plastic type rubber to protect the phone, without making it sticky like normal rubber so it won't get stuck in your pocket. Also, it overhangs nicely over the front, so when you put it down it doesn't lay on the screen. Don't spend too much, just go with this thing.

The BEST Jerry! The BEST!

Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable) Model PEF8GUSB
Patriot Xporter XT Boost 8GB Flash Drive (USB 2.0 Portable) Model PEF8GUSB

Pros: I've never owned a more reliable piece of portable storage than the Patriot brand. Whether it was a small drop in a puddle, or a 50 minute wash cycle, the patriot seems to just survive it all. I've owned a 4GB, 8GB and 16GB, never had one corrupt file and I abuse the hell out of it. Fantastically made and besides accidentally bending while tipping over a laptop to see the product key, it's virtually unbreakable except by your own stupidity.

Cons: The little rubber cap for the USB connector... but seriously, who can manage to hold onto that for longer than five minutes

Overall Review: I've tried many different types of flash drives like this one here, and although it's a simple and extremely cheap product, bad ones are easy to find. No garbage software comes on it out of the box (are you listening SanDisk), and it always just works no matter how hard you are on it.

This is some tough power

Thermaltake Toughpower W0133RU 1200W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply GeForce GTX 480 Certified
Thermaltake Toughpower W0133RU 1200W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply GeForce GTX 480 Certified

Pros: POWER, say it like jeremy clarkson, then you'll understand that this thing is a monster in every way, it's considerably silent compared to other PSU's i've had in the past, modular design is great, just remember where you leave the spare cables, because it comes with a bunch. In theory, this thing could support 2 of my refrigerators

Cons: BIG, but how else can house 1200watts, make sure you have a big case, i have a lian li pc-v2000b, fits great.

Overall Review: i grossly overestimated how much power i needed, i was using a 550w previously thinking i was topping it off having 6 HDD's in my machine, 4 of which are 10,000 WD raptors, turns out on my old configuration i was only using like 300 watts, and that was at peak. i'm good at most things computer, but i'm not too sharp with PSU ratings, my APC is claiming i'm using 165w idle, and 230w under load, that's with: i7 920 Dominator DDR3 1600MHz A$u$ P6t 8800GT 5 HDD (4 Raptors) i'm not sure if that's what i'm using because i don't know much about psu's and backup psu's like i said, but i do know i have the ability to run at least one more of my entire setup on the same psu, so purchase wisely
