Pros: All four sticks worked on arrival.
Awesome price for this.
Can smugly say I have 32Gb RAM to my 16Gb touting friends...
Cons: There is almost no need for this much ram in a normal computer.
Your friends will point it out when you brag... Even if they are jealous...
Other Thoughts: Remember windows users with small SSD's, you should consider your pagefile when installing this much ram. Windows will automatically crank up the pagefile size to match, as will the hiberfile. So you will instantly notice a big chunk of drive space missing. Both can be disabled, and or the pagefile can be shrunk.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Formats correctly as UFS with 4k sectors in freenas 7.2
Transfer speed from one drive on server to this one (transfer handled over CIFS using file sync app under windows) while plugged into a 3gb/s port was ~60Mb/sec.
Other Thoughts: Wish it was cheaper.
Wish I had more of them.
Have not tried to use ZFS or software raid on this drive. Works fine with freenas power management.
Pros: Compact, quick warm-up time, not office grey...
Fast easy setup? (Has anyone had trouble making a printer work since we switched from serial?) On sale for like $80... very much a pro!
Cons: Does not support wireless-N, so I have to transmit my wifi network in N/G which garbles up the spectrum unnecessarily. For this it looses an egg.
Other Thoughts: wifi setup is done with a usb connection or WPS. 10min to unpack, read the instructions checking for any insane installation procedures, install drivers, connect to wifi, and print a test document from notepad.READ FULL REVIEW
