This review is from: SYBA SY-PEX40039 Plug-in Card SATA III (6.0Gb/s) Controller Card
Pros: No additional power required, works fine with win 10 64.
Cons: I don't see any at this point other than it messes up some of the existing drive letters/paths but easily straightened out after the fact, no biggie.
Other Thoughts: Moving 4.36GB from 4 TB to a 4TB drive on the controller card it started at 170MBs and finished at 138MBs just using whatever win 10 drivers MS installed, good enough. On the other port is a sony dvd drive, now the case is full with no more room for anymore drives, 8 drives ttl with the card installed.
Ps, on an old 790x-ud4 mobo.
Pros: 8 cheap cores, eats up handbrake dvd to avi. Good for multi player gaming.
Cons: No better than PII at 3.6ghz SP if not worse in some games. Heatsinkfan as always makes a lovely paper weight or scrap aluminum.
Other Thoughts: Bought BF then $16 cheaper cyber Monday 12:06am scummy pricing practices on Newegg's part.
I wouldn't say this is much of an upgrade it is actually a down grade for FC3 and Grid3 in SP even at 4.3ghz.
Ps, with a real HSF ie tuniq tower 120 it doesn't run hot at all same as PII 40c under load.
Pros: Nothing special about it but it does do what it's supposed to. Power source is SATA plug-in now. Win 7 64 HP.
Cons: At $16 total shipped nothing to con about.READ FULL REVIEW
