Pros: - An inexpensive 1U case
- Sturdy and well built.
- Comes with a 260w power supply.
Cons: - Needed a couple extra accessorizes that drove othe verall price up:
Railing system - $35
Molex HDD Power adaptor - $2
- Limited compatible motherboards for the i/o sheilds provided.
Other Thoughts: Though it appears possible in the owners manual, I was not able to re-position the chassis mounting ears from the front of the chassis to the middle (only 1 screw hole is present, when 3 are needed). This prevented mid-mounting the Chassis onto a Telco rack.
I did not trust front mounting, and with the absence of rear mounting holes, I decided to purchase the additional rail kit.
I was able to completely remove the i/o shield provided, and this allowed me to use a variety of motherboards (originally I used an Asus i7 board), but ultimately I decided to stick with a compatible Xeon motherboard for the i/o shield provided.
All in all, it was still a good deal and I've continued using this chassis for my other render nodes.
