This review is from: NEC Display MultiSync EA244WMi-BK Black 24” Widescreen IPS Panel, LED Backlight LCD Monitor 6ms 350cd/m2, DisplayPort, USB hub, Height Adjust, Pivot, Tilt & Swivel, Speakers, 3 Year Warranty
Pros: The colors are bright, sharp and even without adjustments, very well defined. I do a lot of photo editing and comparing the old monitor with this one the difference is night and day. Also great for gaming; played some Call of Duty: Ghosts last night it the images were clear with no lagging. First time I've also been able to play Blu-Ray on the computer without it being grainy or looking worse than a regular DVD at full resolution.
Cons: Cost, even on sale, but you get what you pay for and this monitor is worth it.
Other Thoughts: Replaced an almost 7 year old Samsung Syncmaster 245BW, which was a great monitor. It was starting to have some issues so I decided to replace it before it truly died. I'll keep it for a spare since it does work, just not very well.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Christmas gift to my dad to speed up his old laptop. Went from taking forever to load (5400RPM HDD) to booting in less than 30 seconds. For a 4 year old HP, it is working great. I've run Intel SSDs on all of my computers and would never anything else.
Other Thoughts: People shouldn't give a 1 egg review over a DOA unless it occurs more than once. Sometimes a DOA just happens. Working in IT, I see a DOA now and then, but it is rare.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: WD My Passport 2TB USB 3.0/USB 2.0 2.5" Portable Hard Drive WDBY8L0020BBK-NESN Black
Pros: 2TB in a 2.5" size and USB 3.0. It was on sale too.
Cons: Propriety USB cable which is very short. Had to buy USB 3.0 extension cable so I could easily use with a computer other than the laptop.
Other Thoughts: Works good so far; transferred about 900GB of movies and music to carry when I travel.READ FULL REVIEW
