This review is from: Patriot Xporter Mini 8GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model PSF8GMUSB
Pros: Great price.
Other Thoughts: I bought this to use with FreeNAS 8. The FreeNAS OS goes on this flash drive, so I am using it with a Koutech USB Header Adapter so that it's on the inside of the case (btw, the adapter is great, I would give a link to its Newegg page, but we're not allowed to post urls in "feedback").
I'm not sure how the rubber coating is going to do with the heat inside the case. It'll probably be fine, but it's an "Other thought."
This review is from: MSI G41M-P23 LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Tech Support responds quickly.
Cons: It isn't Dead on Arrival, but rather malfunctioning on arrival.
After working with tech support, we have determined that the board is defective and an RMA is supposedly forthcoming.
Other Thoughts: What really sucks is that the board cost $50. Shipping will likely be $25-$30 just to get this board repaired.
It would almost be worth buying a new board of a different brand rather than pay the shipping to get back a repaired board that has already malfunctioned once.
This isn't limited to MSI. Newegg has the same pay-for-return policy, as does Gigabyte. In the case of G-byte, they determined there actually was a defect with my board and repaired it but did not offer to refund my shipping costs.
There is something seriously wrong with this system.
