This review is from: Synology DS916+ (8GB) Diskless System Network Storage
Pros: Fast when sending and receiving data never goes below 100mbps, I'm using old HDD's Ive saved up order time and still can reach these speeds. Tons of programs like cloud sync and media server. The media utility is by far my favorite part, it makes a nice UI for movies with the feel of on-line streaming. Nice to chose a move on my phone and cast to to TV and even control the playback and sound from the phone. Discovering new applications every week. Sends notifications when system is not reachable via internet to an e-mail
Cons: Although synology makes the applications as user friendly as possible it does take a bit of prior computer knowledge for some applications. There are plenty f on-line guides and videos created by synology and users to help but a few minutes of research will save hours of trying to setup incorrectly yourself. Always take few minutes to verify the steps to save time down the road.
Other Thoughts: This model i bought for home use but slowly using for a personal business. This one has plenty of power.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Basic nothing too fancy, Simple
Cons: First board came in with bent pins. Eventually items doe come in broke. After RMA new board lasted two days, due to discarding box item came in (which was poorly shipped in BOTH cases) I'm unable to replace with new board form newegg. Extremely disappointed. First and last time using open box, QC failed horribly at there job.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Huge case, Plenty of room to work with. I got this case cause i switched to water cooling and bought a single 120mm radiator and a dual 120mm radiator and they could not fit in my old case. This one they had just enough room for them to fit in and everything is nicely laid out. I love how the power supply drawls air form the side and out the back and does not affect the heat of ht case hardly at all. More so love that all the components are on the right wit a divider on the motherboard on the left side. This is extremely nice so only things reviving the cool air are items that need it and cables and HDD's (or SDD's in my case) don't block and prevent air flow. Stock fans on the case are super quite and nice air put. Case runs ALOT cooler now and water cooling works perfectly fine.
Cons: Bottom on motherboard side has no protective cover. This to me is not a huge con but others might not desire this. Its wider than a standard case but i knew that before buying, others might have a difficult time finding a place to put it. Water cooling drive bay has a VERY slight angle, not certain why but the CD drive tray made it difficult to fit in but i was able to get it in after some time.
Other Thoughts: This is a very water cooling friendly case.READ FULL REVIEW
