This review is from: SYBA SD-ADA40077 2.5" SATA to mSATA SSD Adapter with USB 2.0 Support
Pros: This adapter works great in a Dell Latitude E6410.
Cons: None. It simply works.
Other Thoughts: I was a little concerned about this actually fitting since it has the extra usb port on it, but it slid in nicely (the Dell mentioned above can handle 9.5mm drives).READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 for Windows & Mac - Full Version
Pros: Great at importing photos with little fuss
Fairly low learning curve (see other thoughts)
Designed with a certain workflow in mind, from import to printing / sharing
Smart previews are great - allows you to modify photos without actually having them with you at the time.
Cons: A little pricey
Needs some pretty decent hardware to run well, especially with smart previews in use
Other Thoughts: After nearly five years of trying to go "cheap" on ways to manage my wife's 300GB photo collection, I decided this was the way to go. After reading reviews and trying iPhoto as well as Aperture, I decided to go the Light Room route. I haven't looked back since. My wife does have some experience with Photoshop Elements (which couldn't really handle that large of a photo set), and with Photoshop, she was easily able to step right in to Light Room and go to work, and the flow based toolbars are great to follow a picture through its various stages of production. I did go out and buy a new laptop for this, however: a Lenovo T530 with an I7 and a 256Gb SSD and 8gb of ram. With that hardware, Lightroom handles the database and photo work no problem, and things are snappy and responsive, both with pictures and with video.READ FULL REVIEW
