Pros: The speaker sounded great for about 2 weeks.
Outstanding support from Polk.
Cons: Started getting static out of the tweeter 2 weeks in. Never even pushed the speaker prior to tweeter blowing. I first noticed it when running static speaker level tests and then it started doing it even when watching TV at low volume.
Other Thoughts: Sucks to spend $400 on a speaker and have the tweeter blow after a couple weeks, but since these are modular speakers, Polk is sending a new tweeter out with no questions asked. They have great support.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Polk Audio Monitor70 Series II Floorstanding Loudspeaker (Black) Single
Pros: Fantastic speakers for the money. If you really want to take advantage of their sound bi-amp them. Simply awesome.
Cons: They're not real wood cabinets like the A9's, but what do you expect for the price.
Other Thoughts: The only reason these speakers are this cheap right now if that Polk is phasing out this series. So if you want a great deal, get them before they are gone!READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS P5Q Pro Turbo LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Great overclocker. Easy to use and configurable bios. Lots of room for expansion.
Cons: RAM compatibility with this board is a joke. Even RAM listed in on the ASUS website for this board is finicky. There's some RAM you can run in slots 1 and 3, most RAM won't work in all 4 slots, many you have to set manual timings and even then you'll get plenty of BSODs. There's no reason it should be this difficult to find RAM to work with this board. ASUS should be embarrassed.
Other Thoughts: This will probably be the last ASUS board I purchase.READ FULL REVIEW
