DELL Desktop PC XPS 8700 (X8700-1876BLK) Intel Core i7 4770 (3.40 GHz) 12 GB DDR3 1 TB HDD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 645 1GB Windows 8

Pros: Seems to work OK mostly

Cons: The DVD drive is not working properly, pressing the switch it doesn't open it, it shows in device manager as working properly, right clicking and trying to eject in "my computer" gives me a message that it failed to eject.

Other Thoughts: Came in that way, disappointing, now I have to waste my time dealing with it.

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL7D-4GBRH

  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Works without any problems

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I needed 4G for my new ASUS board with PhenomII x4. I was concerned about memory problems that seem to show up when least expected. First I went to ASUS and wrote down the makes and models of memory they recommented. Decided on one of the G skill models and emailed G Skill to double check. I was told that the model this reviw is about is actually a later and better choice than the one listed by ASUS. No problems so far.

APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 500W ATX Power Supply

This review is from: APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 500W ATX Power Supply

Pros: None

Cons: Junk. Arrived DOA or must have died as I was powering up.
I bought a Corsair that cost more than twice as much and I am happy.

Other Thoughts: Wasted my time, I had to remove it, install my old supply with minimum components, the new Mobo and processor worked great, removed it, went to Best Buy bought the Corsair. Once you look at it, you know why it is cheap. I felt stupid that I even considered trusting my new board and processor on this junk.
