Transcend TS-RDP8K USB 2.0 Support CF, SD, SDHC, SDXC, microSD, microSDHC, Memory Stick, MMC, MMCplus, RS-MMC and MMCmobile. All-in-One Multi Card Reader
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: more than 1 year

Pros: This reader worked flawlessly for many months,

Cons: Just recently it began to sporadically dismount when plugged into a normal USB 2.0 plug. Now it only works properly if I plug it into a powered hub

ORICO 2588US3 Tool-Free USB 3.0 2.5-inch SATA External Hard Drive Enclosure Adapter Case
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: No tools needed; worked well for 10 months.

Cons: Apparently not built to last: I purchased the enclosure mid May, 2013. Here it is mid March, 2014 and it has died. It began to spontaneously reboot yesterday afternoon, and then more frequently today until it finally and completely stopped working. The drive itself is fine (I checked).

Other Thoughts: The enclosure was priced very low...and, you know, you don't always get what you pay for, but this time I did, I guess ;-/

TAMRON AF017C700 AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Lens for Canon EOS Black

4 out of 5 eggs Nice for the price 12/28/2013

This review is from: TAMRON AF017C700 AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Lens for Canon EOS Black

Pros: Very sharp even wide open.

Cons: No IS. Plastic mount.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this as a gift. This is a pretty good entry level tele zoom. Low light performance suffers without a monopod or tripod, and the af is slow sometimes, especially in low light, but pre-focus manually first, not a problem getting sharp images.

This is an excellent learner's lens (think learning to drive on a stick shift first), which was the purpose of my purchase.
