Pros: Small enough for the rig I was putting it in for a customer.
silent no fan heat sink a big plus as the customer was looking fro silent operation
Cons: The card won't even handle the Heaven benchmark test it comes with so don't even try.
also it is a PCIe 2.0 X8 so unless you have a X16 slot open don't even bother putting this in anything else. It might be a good PhysX card at best.
Other Thoughts: installation was easy but then again aren't all PCIe cards?
tried to install the heaven benchmark test to see if it would at least handle lowest setting first and nope. Not even a chance. Don't know what I did wrong been using the Heaven valley and tropics benctest programs for years and it wouldn't even run those. this card would be best served as a PhysX card at the best or maybe a high end Youtube watcher. your choice. Shame really it was a nice looking card.
This review is from: ROCCAT Kave XTD 5.1 Digital Gaming Headset
Pros: Comfortable ear pieces..soft head band that is adjustable even down to little girls heads( my daughters love these things)
You don't need a separated sound card as it's in the control device for the headset.....big plus here as you can control the volume and treble and bass and front and back volume.
Cons: It is blue!!!!! why does everything in computerland have to be either blue or green.....curse you TRON!!!
the cable isn't braided....but its coated in a thick rubber that seems to be cat resistant for now
sometimes if there's to much bass or treble they start to crackle but I just turn those items down a bit and it goes away...
Other Thoughts: Ladies and gentleman...if you want the best then pay for the best. these are not audiophile quality but for gaming and video and anything else just go ahead and get them. spend a little get a little...spend a little more get a little more, Okay? not that hard to understand.
Oh and one more thing they are sorta kid-proof tough. I have two girls that aren't exactly careful with them and they take a beating and keep on going.
Pros: Controls all but my radiator fans.....sorry motherboard runs those.
color LED display...I like lights....ooooo pretty lights
easy to install.....four screws and your done.
Cons: The daunting task of hiding all those wires......UGH!!!!
temperature probes are cheesy things....and required you to "tape "them to where you would want them. I don't know about you but I'm not taping anyting to my $250 motherboard or $368 sticks of RAM either...sorry probes and tape I can do without....:P
Max number of fans per connector is three....which isn't half bad considering that makes 15 fans total possible.
Other Thoughts: easy to install but a nightmare to wire up and hide the wires.
the first selecting on the fans won't shut off all the way (presumably this is where your CPU fan is supposed to go)
other than these few things with the wiring nightmare and the first selection not being able to turn off a great little addition.
