This review is from: Tenda P200 Powerline Mini Adapter Kit Up to 200Mbps
Pros: I purchased this on sale to extend my home networking. I use this kit with a pair of Rosewill adapters and it works just fine. I had very little issues. One adapter is used with Roku HDS and another with laptop. Speed is very good and certainly higher than my internet connection. Latency is excellent too, 3ms ping going through the router, 2 adapters to a remote device. It is worse than wireless which is 1-3ms and worse than Ethernet which is <1ms. But it is very consistent and certainly would be OK for gaming. For internet browsing and streaming video and even VOIP it works well.
The devices are compact and do not block second outlet. They do not get hot and look nice in the outlet.
Cons: The device occasionally locks up. Not very often, but it happens. Every few months the device servicing my Roku locks up and has to be unplugged and plugged back. Rosewill device does not do this. It is no a big deal but could be annoying if you have your device is hard to access place.
Other Thoughts: I would still recommend these especially if they are on sale. The lock up is not a big deal and it does not happen often. They work very well and compatible with other home plug devices.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: The kit just worked and I was able to run networking to downstairs without any issues. Very simple to use and works really well. Supports video streaming using Roku and works much better than wireless. Very stable, in over 6 months of use it did not lost connection even one time. It is as fast as 100BT Ethernet and adds very little latency
Cons: The unit is a little too large. It blocks upper outlet in the dual wall outlet so 3 prong plug is no longer fits. 2 prong plug will fit though.
Other Thoughts: I wonder why I did not buy this earlier. The networking over power line is the future. Builder's charge arm and leg for running CAT6 in the house. After the house is built it is a huge pain to run Ethernet cable. These little devices are the thing - plug one in each room and you have your house networked in no time.
This review is from: Far Cry 3 Deluxe Edition [Online Game Code]
Pros: It is a good game. I am playing through the story for a second time and it is still fun.
Cons: Ubisoft Uplay
Other Thoughts: I still got the game even with Uplay. I can see why people pirate games - no stupid software that tracks your every move. I disable online mode as it was very annoying.READ FULL REVIEW
