Pros: Cheap SSD. Noticeably faster than my WD Black 7200 rpm drive. Boot up time decreased by 2/3 time. Shut down is almost instantaneous. Impressive. I only use this for my OS running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and it works very well.
Cons: 1. Wish it was bigger. 2. If you read online about it this drive is supposedly rife with firmware update issues, which you will need to do to help prevent corruption errors if your system were to shut down incorrectly. Anyway, it was a bit of a headache, mostly due to user error, but in the end worth it. 3. Not the best tech on the market as far as ssd read and write speeds go but I knew that going into this. Like I said though, still faster than my previous hard drive with magnetic plates and moving parts.
Other Thoughts: WEI 7.0 if anyone cares to know (not that these scores mean anything (I still like them)). Hoping this will last me a good while until I can afford to buy a bigger drive. Got this with a coupon code for 31 dollars and free shipping. Was hesitant at first but glad I took the chance. Even if it was a bust being a refurbished drive, which I for tend to think would be even more reliable seeing as it's been thoroughly inspected to make sure it runs correctly, 30 bones is not going to break the bank. Overall worth it in my opinion. I'll update if anything goes awry. I might get another one for my macbook but snow leopard doesn't have trim support. Might still do it.READ FULL REVIEW
