Great Enclosure
Pros: First off, it looks so nice. Many enclosures just don't have a style I like, but this one is really nice. Second, the internal connections are solid. There are no cables, you just plug your drive right into the interface. This along with screws basically ensure the drive will never be moving and that you will get the best connection with the internal interface. I have never had any issue with the fan. It's quiet and can be turned on manually. eSATA is a great interface, and I am glad it has USB for backwards compatibility.
Cons: Not powered by USB, but that isn't a big deal.
Overall Review: This is probably the best enclosure in it's price bracket. You should get it if you are getting a drive under 2TB.
Broke after 1 use
Pros: It looks nice, it's compact, it's cheap
Cons: Very flimsy. The connector to the phone bends easily which renders the device unusable. If you never put it in a purse or a pocket, I could see this thing as being good, but any pressure on the connector will result in it bending and eventually being unusable.
Overall Review: This item is probably fine if you just use it to transfer files to a computer or something like that where the phone is on a table or otherwise not in a confined space. Just make sure you never leave it connected when you put the phone in your pocket or purse.
Excellent processor
Pros: 8c/16t is pretty great. It's excellent for everything.
Cons: You can OC the 1700 to 1800X levels, so this processor is a bit redundant. The actual power draw is above 95W, so don't expect it to draw only that at max load.
Overall Review: If you plan to overclock, definitely get a board with a high number of phases for voltage regulation. Some of the lower cost boards skimped on them and it definitely hurts if you use liquid cooling which generally has less case airflow.
Great budget board
Pros: Generally a good budget board. It has any of the features most sub-enthusiasts would want.
Cons: If you are looking for overclock and want to use liquid cooling, check elsewhere. The board has a problem you wouldn't normally expect once you start increasing the voltage beyond stock. Since the voltage regulation has a low number of phases, the VRM MOS heats up like crazy. These things are generally expected to work find up into the 100-110C range, but it was going over this for me even at a small overclock of 1.296v (stock is around 1.26). If you use air cooling, this shouldn't be a problem, but you won't have as much thermal headroom with the cpu itself. Also, the BIOS (on F7) could have more features. It doesn't have custom p-states and some of the settings are done with offsets instead of manual entry which is a bit annoying.
Overall Review: It's still possible that Gigabyte could improve the bios. The platform is still young. Threadripper just came out though, so they are probably going to focus on updates for those boards for the time being though.
Acceptable Entry Level Board
Pros: Debugging LEDs are helpful Varied SATA placement Good features in BIOS
Cons: Memory has trouble reaching anything near rated speeds. This is likely a firmware or motherboard hardware issue since I have RAM rated for 3600 and can't even hit 2933. Overall, the build quality is probably a bit inferior to some better brands. The Debug LEDs are something at least, but I had gotten used to debug codes on my Gigabyte board. The board itself just lacks some premium features.
Overall Review: If you are just OCing the CPU and don't care about memory, this board is probably fine for you. Serious overclockers should probably look elsewhere.
Poor connectivity and uncomfortable
Pros: Technically it does what it says it should
Cons: It does what it says it should poorly. It loses connection very easily leading to intermittent music playing. At first I thought it might just be all the wireless signals in my room, but I walked to the store with it on and it was still giving me problems. I have an LG G2, so the Bluetooth signal should be fine. My only guess is that the receiver in the headset is weak. Also it is very uncomfortable for me. You can bend it a little, but they don't stay in the position you bend, so what's the point? Maybe if you have a smaller head it would be more comfortable.
Very helpful to deal with
I was unsatisfied with the headset I ordered, so I asked for an refund. They were very prompt and helpful in getting the whole process worked out. Very good seller.
