This review is from: Rosewill RX850-S-B - Xtreme Series 850-Watt Active PFC Power Supply - Continuous @ 104 Deg. F (40C), 80 PLUS Bronze, ATX 12V v2.2 & EPS 12V v2.91, SLI & CrossFire-Ready, Compatible with Core i7, i5
Pros: Decent amount of power for a decent price. Will power most(all?) non-SLI/CF rigs.
Cons: Not modular. Strange exterior housing(nickel plated or something, gives off crystal clear reflections).
Other Thoughts: In my hurry to find a temporary PSU for my defunct Silverstone PSU, I dodn't realise this IS NOT MODULAR! It also doesn't have any 8-pin PCI-E connectors, but two 6->8 pins converters. Not the products fault though, as I ordered it in a hurry without really looking at the specs.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Awesome PSU while it worked. Good amount of cables at just the right lengths to use in large mid-tower to full tower cases. Silent, quality fan that kept PSU sufficiently cooled.
Cons: No power button.
Unit died after ~ 1 month of use(literally the day after NewEgg RMA period expired). It now makes an odd zapping noise when I plug it in. Attempted to apply for RMA multiple times and company is completely nonresponsive. Waste of money since customer service can't match the product.
Other Thoughts: If you google SilverStone RMA process it seems other people have trouble with it too. It's a pity, because from the reviews I've read they make high quality, long lasting products.READ FULL REVIEW
