This review is from: Seagate Central STCG4000100 4TB Cloud Storage System
Pros: Storage capacity
Cons: Confusing user interface
Defective - internal failure preventing power-up
Other Thoughts: I bought this unit for my father's system based on my past experience with Seagate drives. Unfortunately, in never lived up to the marketing hype from the minute I deboxed it.
My dad has since passed away and all his data was backed up on this drive. The unit will no longer power up. The wall wart is still operating properly but the unit has bricked: no power light, no response to the tiny reset button.
I've since seen other users telling of their poor experiences and could kick myself for being one of the first purchasers of this product after it was offered for sale by NewEgg. Sorry Seagate, I've made my last purchase. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
This review is from: SummitSoft 3000 Fonts
Pros: Good power for the price
Steady output until failure
Cons: Failed after 100 days
No support by Newegg after 30 days
Good luck with the manufacturer's warrantee.
Other Thoughts: Worked well for a few months, then failed abruptly. Tested power supply with multimeter. Good line voltage. No switch illumination or voltage on the PC-ON line.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Mouse works well. Nice wrist pad. Lots of Windows-related buttons.
Cons: Kit came with four Eveready AA batts. Two went dead short in the wireless mouse - caught it due to sensing heat before it could melt / catch fire. Replaced batts and mouse worked consistently therafter.
Keyboard was erratic in wirelessly connecting from the start. Checked Kensington website and there is ZERO information/documentation/FAQs/software to allow troubleshooting of this keyboard. Layout of the site leaves me with the impression that user interfaces are poorly thought out sideline for this company.
