This review is from: Rosewill RHB-330A USB 3.0 4 Ports Aluminum Hub
Pros: Slim and easy to mount with double sided mounting tape or velcro. Power switch doesn't have any play like some of the other brands. External power is able to power all 7 USB devices, flight sim panels.
Cons: Two of the ports are on the end of the device. These may make them tougher to access if mounting against a wall or in a tight space. I would have liked them all facing the same way, but this is minor since I knew this before purchasing.
Other Thoughts: Some USB devices, for me it was joystick and a SIM instrument, will not operate properly when power to the hub is turned on. These required me to reseat the connection each time. Other USB devices work fine. I moved the touchy USB devices to onboard USB and left the rest. Overall I am satisfied with the product and Rosewill's quality.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: EnGenius EPE-5818AF 802.3af PoE Injector
Pros: Price was nice.
Cons: Won't pass thru data, only power. Cheap feel, loose board/parts inside the unit.
Lasted less then four months, just outside of the 90 day warranty. Tech Support has very long hold times and was passed around for about an hour. Level 2 tech support finally said go buy another one.
Other Thoughts: Any POE injector that is 802.3af compliant will work in place of this model. The EnGenius AP's I have looked at are not proprietary POE. Also found out this model is only 10/100, not gig pass-thru.
Next POE injector will not be EnGenius.
