4 out of 5 eggs Still functional after 3 years 02/11/2014

This review is from: Crucial M4 CT128M4SSD2 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Pros: Still functional after 3 years, nice speed

Cons: About a year or so into using this I had the same problem a lot of you are explaining in other reviews. My PC would freeze about every 50 minutes. This was due to the terrible firmware initially installed. It had a built-in "death" timer, so to speak, so after so many reads/writes, it would just shut itself off after 50 minutes every time it was repowered (every PC reboot). So I had to figure out how to reinstall the updated firmware which didn't have that awful "death" timer. So, you should try updating the firmware if you are experiencing these issues.
