Pros: Laptop itself is really nice. I liked the color and the aluminum, it looked and felt very professional. In addition, the keyboard was decent to type on and had good support and feedback. I suspect the screen itself would have been nice too if it wasn't from the flickering due to the bad driver.
Cons: Laptop arrived with two items with question marks in the device manager. In addition, the video driver was either the wrong one or just bad as the screen was hurting my eyes and had a discernable flicker. Other drivers seemed to be a little finicky as well so I tried to update them initially online. I was unable to fix all of the issues at this point so I tried using the included HP software to recover the laptop and hope that it would fix the issue. I was unsuccessful with this course of action as well so I contacted Newegg for an RMA as I felt that I shouldn't have to be dealing with this on a new laptop. Newegg cleared me for an RMA and after speaking with customer service, approved me for a store credit so I didn't have to deal with the same issue on another laptop. Newegg received the RMA and rejected it even though it says approved in my RMA history. They accused me of altering or modifying the laptop by using the included HP software to try and recover it. In addition, they have refused to help me in any other way and are supposedly sending the same defective laptop back to me even though I have told them not too. This is a known issue with this laptop as I have seen other negative reviews here that they have deleted as I'm sure they will do with mine. Now, I am having to fight a company I have trusted for ten years to do the right thing and resolve this. I have never been disappointed with Newegg customer service until now. Try to avoid this one if you can so you can save yourself from the headache.
Other Thoughts: Hopefully we can come to some agreement soon so I can get a computer for the student I was buying this for since he starts his classes shortly.READ FULL REVIEW
