This review is from: Cooler Master GeminII M4 - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes
Pros: Nice heatsink with copper exposed to the actual CPU, good profile and does not block much of the Mobo.
Runs really cool.
Cons: Does not fit AM3/+ sockets as stated, brackets are completely off dimensions height wise. Cooler will not install flush against the Mobo and rubber spacers are completely the wrong thickness. Fan is mounted loosely, which causes a tinny scratchy sound when running.
Other Thoughts: I tried installing this on a Asrock AM3+ socket, then a Asus AM3 socket, both had the same issues and the brackets provided will not install flush to the board, causing the Mobo to bend if you keep trying to tighten the fasteners.
With some metal fabrication at my place of employment, different rubber spacers and modifying the fan mount, it now works just fine on my Asus AM3 socket, and idles at 29-31C and is super quiet; never saw over 40C while working and playing modest games.
I own the greater Gemini II 524 and that thing is amazing, I figured this lil brother model would be good as well but I was dead wrong.
This review is from: Fractal Design Node 605 Black Aluminum/Steel ATX HTPC/Media Center Computer Case
Pros: Looks amazing, nicely built and nothing cheap about it. Fan controller has a pigtail for a third optional fan. USB 3.0 in front. Good airflow and top cover makes this case very quiet with sound damping material. The included fans are amazing.
Cons: Mobo to HDD install restrictions... If you're using a ATX size Mobo don't plan on 4 HDD's or the optional optical drive. Read the footnotes carefully when choosing your setup and components you plan to cram into this case. The second HDD cage will sit over your Mobo and can restrict plug access on most boards. Also consider your video card size as well, which is outlined in the product notes as well.
Other Thoughts: This is a very nice case, and looks even better; however it needs to have a bigger foot print due to the HDD cages hanging over both the Mobo and optional optical drive location. 3 inches wider and deeper and this would be a 5star perfect case.
My Yamaha 7.2 receiver is larger in all three dimensions(wxhxd), the extra room would have been appreciated and would not look too bulky either.
This review is from: SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: No issues to date, lightning fast, nice case construction.
Cons: None that come to mind.
Other Thoughts: Installed and accepted Windows 7 right away with no issues. Super fast and notable boot time decrease over previous OCZ Agility 3.READ FULL REVIEW
