This review is from: ASUS Xonar DSX 7.1 Channels 24-bit 192KHz PCI Express x1 Interface Audio Card
Pros: Great sound, low price.
Cons: Lots of driver complications.
Other Thoughts: Finding drivers on ASUS site felt like a maze and their site is quite slow IMO. Go on the ASUS site and search for "Xonar DSX." Click on the card, and go to the "Support" tab. In the middle you will see the "Driver & Tools." From there you select your operating system and download the latest driver for the device.
Another problem I encountered was that it DID NOT produce sound over Steam in home streaming to another computer and DID NOT record in-game sound when I used Nvidia Shadowplay. If anyone is experiencing the same problem, open up the Xonar Drivers and on the bottom right, you will see "DSP Mode" with buttons labeled "HF or GX." Turn those off.
Pros: I've use to be a competitive fps player but I didn't have the proper equipment. I never thought that getting a faster monitor could help me as much as other players say. Everything is so much smoother and easier. I love it.
Cons: When you first change the refresh rate to 144hz, the monitor brightness and contrast are too high, you will have to manually lower it in the monitor settings.
Other Thoughts: I was going to get it when it was on sale but it sold out as soon as I added it to cart, was very angry. Ended up buying the monitor when it wasn't on sale because I really wanted it. Still worth the money.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 500R Arctic White Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case
Pros: Lots of room to put stuff and for airflow. I love how the drive cages can be removed. Nice looking LED fans on the front and side. Big fan on the side panel :D
Other Thoughts: You know that space on the top where you screw in some fans? I mounted an SSD up there in the corner.. LOLREAD FULL REVIEW
