Pros: The Linksys EA9500 Router has been in my home for almost two weeks now, and I have got to say, it’s an advanced piece of networking technology. Never have I experienced stronger delivery, performance, or ease of use than I have from this router. It utilizes a feature known as MU-MIMO, which has been around since about the 2400 series of routers, yet I feel that it has finally been perfected.
A little run down of what MU-MIMO is:
Multi-user Multiple Input Multiple Output beamforming allows devices to essentially receive the same speed, at the same time, without throttling, however, with a few rules:
MU-MIMO uses a special form of beamforming that is part of the 802.11ac standard. It works in 5 GHz only.
MU-MIMO enables up to four devices to share the same Wi-Fi airtime. Current 4x4 based designs support three simultaneous devices
You need both MU-MIMO enabled routers and devices to benefit from MU-MIMO
You need at least two MU-MIMO devices to get any benefit from MU-MIMO
MU-MIMO works only for downlink data (moving from router to device). It provides no benefit for uplink
MU-MIMO works best with strong to medium strength signals
MU-MIMO does not increase range
The maximum bandwidth of this router is 5.3 Gbps, however, it is true you are unlikely to see max potential at the current internet market rate. This router will last you quite some time. The thing I love most about it is its solid construction. This thing is TOUGH. You can feel the build quality from the moment you open the package. It has a dedicated power supply button similar to a PC so restarting/rebooting is super simple.
I ran a few stress tests on my model and found that it performed all tasks for a complete 48 hours with no disconnections. I also did not experience any buffering on Netflix while simultaneously downloading things from the internet on concurrent connections. All in all, I feel that if you are in the market for a supreme, high-grade router, then you can look no further than the Linksys EA9500.

Pros: I've been an AMD gamer on a budget for years, but my recent pay raise has finally given me buying power. So why not go big. This thing is a straight monster in a box. Easily overclocks to 4.2ghz on an H115i. Holding temps around 60c at load. No issues that I've experienced so for, and am very happy with my switch to intel.
Cons: the price of course, but worth it. lolREAD FULL REVIEW
