This review is from: Crucial M4 CT256M4SSD3 mSATA 256GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: Extremely high performance (by today's standards), and acceptable capacity for me.
Cons: The price is a bit higher than I like to pay for a SSD. In my mind this is offset by the compact size of the drive and its performance.
Other Thoughts: Installed in a 15" Samsung Series 9 (mid-2012). The performance improvement was substantial.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Haier CPRB08XCK-LW 8,000 Cooling Capacity (BTU) Portable Air Conditioner
Pros: - Lightweight (under 60 pounds, very light for a portable a/c in this class).
- Good performance, kept my 200 sq foot room 20 degrees lower than outside temperatures during hot summer months.
- Easy to maintain
- Bargain price
- Small and nice looking (unlike most portable a/cs, which are bulky and ugly IMO)
Cons: - When outdoor temperature rose above 100, it reached over 80 degrees in my room.
- Only one hose (exhaust.) No air intake hose, so air is sucked out of the room to cool the compressor, which in turn sucks in hot air from outside via cracks in the front door, etc.
Other Thoughts: This a/c is just enough for the moderate desert conditions I live in (which usually stays in the upper 90's during summer months). I leave this thing running 24/7, and my electric bills aren't too shocking. I used a dual-hose 10,000 BTU portable a/c before this one, which definitely cooled more effectively.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Has run for 3 years with no problems, and is still running fine.
High output for the price.
Cons: As with most UPS units, the plugs could be laid out further apart to allow more transformer plugs to be plugged in at once.
Other Thoughts: This unit saved me many times during power outages (and accidentally unplugging the UPS from the wall). Never failed to instantly kick in and provide battery power during outages, with no interruptions.READ FULL REVIEW
