Pros: Works fine with ASUS Sabertooth AM3+ motherboard even though not listed in supported memory.
Cons: A little large with heat sink but, nothing unexpected.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: 8 core cpu, comes with liquid cooling kit. Runs at 4.4 ghz with no problems, and surprisingly has kept steady temp with factory cooling kit at around 30 - 32 C. Took me a bit to find something that could max out the cpu for an extended period of time. Got to run at 90-95% on all 8 cores for about 10 minutes temp spiked up to 36.1 liquid, adjusted cooling system specs fell back to 35 liquid. Mind you CPU temp is hotter but can be off.
Cons: No eggs taken off for this but there are a few minor. 220w but, expected. If you purchased this you already know this. Heat sink mounting described poorly. No published temp target, for what you want to keep this hotter cpu running at. Use best judgement with common knowledge.
Other Thoughts: Needs better instructions for putting plastic tabs on the metal mounting ring to motherboard/cpu but, once I figured it out after about 60-90 minutes it went together very easy.
They could publish a target temp range for the cpu.
Stock liquid cooling is doing the trick, mind you haven't overclocked and did need to adjust settings a little but, for all those who say you need a better liquid cooling system, it's simply not true for normal use. If you overclock maybe but, haven't my own testing on that.
Pros: Blu-ray burner. Installed nice and easy.
Cons: LG has no software or firmware for this drive and does not give you the option to select this model drive on their support site when issuing feedback or help. It does have new firmware for the 14x drive but not this 16x drive.
Windows will not read blu-ray's on it's own so can't play on Media player by default.
No burning software on LG's website for drive, this is expected with any recordable drive even if it's basic and you may not want to use it for most applications.
Other Thoughts: I purposely leaned toward the LG drive for getting a bigger name drive. This I feel was a mistake do the the lack of support available for this drive. If doing again I'd buy either an ASUS or Pioneer drive as maybe there is more support available for those drives.READ FULL REVIEW
