SAPPHIRE 100363L Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card

Pros: Powerful card, very quiet.

Cons: Very poor fan design

Other Thoughts: Used this GPU for about 4 months and worked perfectly every day. The past 5 days the fan blades have constantly been banging against the plastic casing. I've tried re-aligning, tightening and loosening the screws and everything else imagineable to re-align the fan blades but they're constantly loose. Unfortunately the fan blades keep banging the casing and forcing the blades to barely spin. As such the heat exceeds 100c and makes the GPU not usable for anything. I even tried pointing an external fan at the GPU to help and it's still running at 95c. Based on Google search results, this seems to be a common issue with Sapphire. Card is no longer functional for anything more than an idle desktop.

Pros: Price

Cons: Burnt out after just 3 months of use with only 2 GPU's never hitting more than 600W of load (measured by wattage meter). Was in the middle of gaming when a flash of yellow light came from the PSU and smell of smoke. PSU powered down and have never been able to turn it on since.

Other Thoughts: Stick to a better brand name, not worth the savings.
