This review is from: SAMSUNG SM951 M.2 256GB Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
Pros: This drive is seriously fast! (Faster than my RAID 0 850 Evo's that's for sure!)
It IS the AHCI version, not NVMe, which seems to be a lot easier to get running. What you lose in speed is pretty negligible.
Cons: Price! You get what you pay for, but at a price that is double what the same capacity SSD costs.
Other Thoughts: So I've had it for a few months now. One downside - Samsung will not support this with the Magician software. So, if you enjoy RAPID mode, and the other tools, they won't work with this drive. It is still stupid-fast!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Upgraded from a GTX 670, and what a difference!
Much smoother running two HD screens! Playing games in Borderless-windowed mode on one screen while surfing, skyping on the other just got a lot nicer and a lot smoother!
Other Thoughts: The fans don't even turn on if you're just sitting at the desktop, or surfing the web. When they do, they're not very loud, even running 3DMark on it didn't seem to excite it much, and even though it did turn the fans on, and spin them up pretty good, they weren't loud at all!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Booted up first time, picked up everything, even the little M.2 SM951 drive I tossed in, and booted straight to the thumb-drive to install the OS all without a single setting changed in BIOS!
Cons: The LEDs on the back of the board are kind of pointless.
Having to load a driver for the network card was a little annoying, but as it was included on the disc that came with it, not horrible.
Other Thoughts: Impressed with the easy set up! I've had boards that required a lot of tweaking to get everything to work. This one just worked on first boot. Nice!READ FULL REVIEW
