ORICO 2598SUS3 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Solid construction, easy to use, perfect size, EVERYTHING is included.

Cons: Documentation

Other Thoughts: If drive in this enclosure "disappears", comes back after re-booting and "disappears" again under Windows 7 check your USB power setting. Look at USB Selective Suspend and Turn Off hard Drive After, under Advanced Power Settings. The protective film for the bottom of the HDD was a nice touch.

ASUS ENGT430 DC SL/DI/1GD3 GeForce GT 430 (Fermi) 1GB 128-Bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Fan-less
Easy Install

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Put this into a Dell Precision 470 Work Station to replace a Nvidia Quadro FX 3400. Turns a WEI of 6.7. I use this box primarily for video editing and graphics work with Adobe CS Master Collection 4. This card runs a pair of Dell E2010H monitors at 1600 X 900. I'm trying to reduce the noise in my studio / office and this card helped. The bottle neck in the system is now the dual Xeon 3.2 Ghz processors. This card upgrade should help me get another year or two out of this system before I need to replace it. Best $70 upgrade I think I have ever done.

Seagate FreeAgent Desk 1TB USB 2.0 3.5
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: Nice drive, easy to setup. Low noise.

Cons: No power switch. No x64 software.

Other Thoughts: Using this for raw video during editing. Thought drive was bad, but turned out to be video drive that was causing choppy playback.
