Pros: It was great when it worked. Which it did, for a while.
Cons: Then it stopped working. It just plain does not come on.
And no one but no one is interested in fixing a toaster. It was as if we rented it for $10 a month and then had it repossessed.
Other Thoughts: I hope this isn't part of a trend, KitchenAid slapping their name on cheap chinese junk or something. I'm very disappointed.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It was great when it worked
Cons: In addition to the power failure I mentioned before, the tech support at HANNS-G is terrible. After having me hold the power button for 3 minutes at a time for a while, he took down my e-mail address and phone and said he'd have warranty get in touch with me. I asked him to read back both and he had transcribed both incorrectly, despite my spelling my address out as "Max - as in Mike Alpha X-ray at " and asking him to read it back.
Then today I got the call from warranty, in her message she said to call back at 1-888-(four numbers), three numbers too few to be useful. When I chased down the number to call back, the front line support guy said that warranty closes at 3:00 Pacific time and I'll have to wait till monday to try again.
Other Thoughts: I'm not in so much of a hurry that waiting until Monday will kill me, but even with this new front line tech guy, I had no confidence that this guy was going to get the corrected e-mail address right.
I STRONGLY recommend that you go with another brand of monitor; the other two brands I got around the same time have been solid and the third brand that I got three years ago needed a backlight replaced, which they did as a warranty repair.
In this day and age service makes up for a lot, and Hanns-G apparently doesn't offer it.
Pros: Brilliant color, fast, great aspect ratio for watching movies and such
Cons: Started shutting off picture after 1-2 seconds of on time. Hanns-G tech support offers "hold the power button for 2 minutes" and "sorry, you're out of warranty" as solutions
Other Thoughts: When it was working this was a great monitor. For just a few hours of use per week for just barely over a year, I feel like this burned out a little too quickly.READ FULL REVIEW
