This review is from: Hisense Sero 7 PRO M470BSA 7.0" Touchscreen Android Tablet NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad Core CPU 1.30Ghz, 1GB Memory, 8GB Internal Storage, Micro SD card slot, Mini HDMI Out, NFC, Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean)
Pros: Everything is a Pro. The specs and the extra's not on the Nexus 7. Came in original box.
Cons: Was shipped a tablet that had been trashed out. Parts of the tablet didn't function correctly and worse beyond anything else. The tablet arrived rooted out the box. Which I didn't know and didn't want on this tablet. If they had rooted it then believe it's been through what it can with kernel swapping and custom rom's. If I decided to do this then I would do it. Don't want one shipped with features not working because of a previous owner rooted it. This simply something must be checked. It makes 0 sense to accept a rooted electronic back either Replacement/Refund to a customer that has knowingly done this and voided all warranty means.
Other Thoughts: I can see where some might think this is a bonus to receive one already rooted. Well for me it's not. There's a system update that must be preformed when setting up. This update caused this recovery screen to show and saw Clock Work Mod something and fail on update over and over. Which is why they returned it. Was tired of seeing update ready in corner of screen. Nice. Just too bad Newegg didn't catch this and not do the replacemnt/refund on this purchase. Sorry once you root almost anything you lose all return/replacement rights!READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: This replaced an Atheros 5007E/G that came in an older Asus F3KA-X2 AMD laptop. Had wifi G and bluetooth 2.1 I believe or just 2.0. Everything has worked and intel software has all installed with no problems. Widi even installed along with WiFi dashboard for Wifi Direct and few other things for added WiFi technologies. Reception is very good and bluetooth turns on as OS loads so no waiting for drivers to kick in.
Cons: Can't seems to speak of any other then my Atheros 5007E/G was full height and this is mini. Had to buy an extension plate from the "jungle" for cheap to attach card then to board. Wouldn't call it a con because of an older laptop with a G full height with bluetooth card replaced by mini intel AC1200 with Bluetooth 4.0.
Other Thoughts: There are two version of the 7260 and some companies are selling both variants. One has WiMax and the other does not. I don't need the Wimax 7260 because that service isn't near my location and it's being phased out for 4G LTE. So that was never in decision to spend a few more for Wimax included. This card worked in a much older Asus with AMD 690 chipset and replaced the Atheros 5007E/G that had bluetooth. This is much faster card and still controlled by Asus software and being able to turn bluetooth and wireless off with hard switch in front of laptop also works. This is a no brainer. Asus Amd Laptop only had White Black wires and was afraid since card replaced was only G would be getting only G. However they rely on source connected to Like the 7260 so getting N and AC1200. Out of stock laptop antennas and no upgrade needed to antennas. Newegg is the place to buy. Been buying from them everything unless they just don't carry it and customer service is always above and beyond. It cam shipped in plastic container like how oem cpu's used to be shipped.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Seagate Backup Plus 3TB USB 3.0 3.5" Desktop Hard Drive STCA3000101 Black
Pros: The drive speed of 7200RPM is the nicest feature of this product. At least the one I'm sending back is. USB 3.0 is also Now a mute point. Only giving the 3 stars because of speed of the drive. Nah, Your right it's probably just a 2 star product.
Cons: These drives are just horrid. They always "fall apart" like some say "it's not a matter of If but When". The software is an added expense that's not needed and not used by most. The led is another wasted expense. Would like to know the cause of such Gigantic failure rates on the "Big Drives".
Other Thoughts: The only reason I purchased 2 of these is for easy data backup of 1 Seagate Backup plus 3TB to another Seagate Backup Plus 3TB. So when this drive fails it can not take so much "data". Let's refresh so if ordering 1 you might as well update the quantity to 2. Just add one to whatever the amount is your purchasing. I've now had my 2nd drive go bad with the etching sound and long delay for use. Bad Drive. Bought it at "BB" and guess I got 3 yr warranty. The reason for 2 yr is the amount of returns they deal with. So taking our money and selling either bad drives, bad enclosures or Both and doing large volume returns gets expensive. Hence lower warranty and when the Seagate Company was it's own entity. They were drive of choice and since purchasing most Hard Drive Manufacturers especially Maxtor the quality just degraded over time. They simply Are Not the company they were before.
The first drive that I sent in was replaced from NEW faulty drive to used/refurbished drive. Which was okay with since it was covered by manufacturer warranty yet after not realizing when first adding it to machine they company has DISABLED Write Caching. There is no way to turn this on and it's locked to off. So returned a New drive and got a Disabled Used/Refurbished drive. Now doing a Seagate RMA and looking at 4TB version of this but not sure that I should go with this company. They actually Bait and Switched my product with a far lesser drive and DISABLED Write Caching permanently ! Thanks Seagate. All can be verified.
