This review is from: SimCity Limited Edition PC Game
Pros: Fun to play. will be more fun once they fix the things in the others comments.
Cons: Fun to play untill you get huge trafic problems between 100K-200K+ people in your city. after that piont the roads are so congested that your economy will bleed out. Path finding on the motorists is laughable they go to the shortest path first even if that is down a gridlocked road!
Fatories do not ask for two resources at once so it is dificult to keep them full all the time. There also seems to be issues with the "ore" resource and pathfinding to a factory no matter the source "mining or trade center" ore never gets replenished as fast as coal.
Playing single player is ok but the real meat is in multiplay, I can never find a fresh game to play in!??! there are no search options to find games that have new/abandoned cities. If a city has been abandoned and has aditional DLC packages you are not allowed to claim it! 2 days after creating a new public game and there are still no people in my region WHY!?
City size is very small but you can play in muliple cities however only one is activly works at any time. And there is ~20 sec load time for each city even with an SSD.
Other Thoughts: This game still has a lot of services that are not complete or are turned off due to server laod at launch. the bigest issues with the game right now are:
- A factory needs to send a request for each resource independently not one at a time.
- Ore resource pathfinding/bug fix
- Sim pathfinding of shortest path only creates traffic and in no way simulates normal activity.
- City size is small
- Buses will bug out at a stop and create huge trafic jams.
- The tutorial only covers basics of gameplay and does not cover some of the more critical datamaps that the game has. 0nce you play the game for about 1-3 weeks you should have a firm grasp of everything.
- Origin... EA needs to discontinue it's use and move everyones games to Steam!
Pros: Lightning fast and enough storage space not to worry about juggling your OS and applications on separate drives. I bought this drive the first day it came out because of the speeds it has. 3 year warranty
Cons: The drive failed almost exactly 1 month after I bought it. some review site mentioned that their "sample" Vertex PRO 2 did the same thing. this is now a trend. STAY AWAY. RMA time -_- [lost OS drive w/o back up Q_Q]. The price of this drive does not reflect quality.
Other Thoughts: If you want to get an SSD grab a SATA 3.0 drive. Even if you don't have SATA 3.0 it will still work w/ 2.0 and when you upgrade to 3.0 you'll already have a SSD to mate w/ it.
Didn't know at the time that a SATA 3.0 drive would overcome this drive just 2 weeks later. Should have returned it the day I got it.
