Pros: There are supported drivers for Windows 7 and back.
Ran fine with a pair of drives and an optical drive attached.
Cons: Vantec claims compatibility for Server 2008 R2. Marvell Claims to support Server 2008 R2 with the 88SE9230 chipset on this board.
Found not be compatible with:
Windows 8.0 or 8.1
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Server 2012 or R2
Other Thoughts: I tried many different combinations of drivers for the Marvell 88SE9230, including the Rosewill card mentioned in another review to try to install Windows Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 R2. Driver files were the same each time. Each Vendor included the same files.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Linksys DPC3008 Advanced DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem
Pros: Setup takes only takes a call to Comcast. Gigabit LAN port provides for fast wired speeds.
Cons: Setup takes a phone call to Comcast.
NO user configuration allowed as the firmware is locked down by Comcast. This is just a modem, a separate router will be needed to connect multiple devices.
Other Thoughts: This modem was purchased to be used with Comcast in the Chicago area for Comcast's 25mb service.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Intel C55824-604 ATX Server Motherboard Dual 604
Pros: I have used this motherboard very well for 3+ years now. This motherboard supports Irwindale and Nacona core CPUs. Use registered DDR2-400 DIMMS. The x16 PCIe slot is great for modern video cards, and the PCI-X slots I have used for older disk controllers.
Cons: The other PCIe slot is a x4 slot that is closed at the back end, so a second video card won't fit. This motherboard doesn't work with Paxville CPUs (SL8MA).
Other Thoughts: Uses a 24 plus 8Pin CPU and fits an ATX case, just check that the CPU coolers won't be blocked.READ FULL REVIEW
