Pros: Perform well while they work
Cons: Have 5 in a RAID 5 array and I've had 6 fail in the past 3 months. each time having to RMA them to WD. RMA process is nice but I'm tired of the stress. Would not recommend as two of the replacements I got from WD have failed.
Other Thoughts: Sucks paying a ton of money for "server class" drives but times like this I wish I did. These might be considered a step above but this failure rate is beyond unacceptable.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Purchased as part of an "edge storage" project that doesn't need fast drives. Large and reasonably priced.
Cons: out of the 4 I purchased, 2 died within a week. Crashed my RAID5 setup but thankfully I did not deploy yet as I usually require a 15 day "break in" period.
Other Thoughts: All drives do this no matter the manufacture.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: HP ProBook 4530s (LJ521UT#ABA) Notebook Intel Core i7 2670QM (2.20GHz) 4GB Memory 500GB HDD AMD Radeon HD 6490M with 1 GB dedicated GDDR5 video memory 15.6" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit
Pros: Have been buying the probook 4530s series for almost 2 years now and have zero complaints. They take a beating and keep going strong. Full number pad and plenty of RAM and disk space.
Cons: Don't really need the extra graphics but for the price it'll have to do.
Other Thoughts: Every line of notebooks has some go bad but I have around 40 of these deployed and every one is still going strong. I had one come back with a crack on the lid from someone dropping it and it still worked! Another was covered in tar and beyond dirty and still worked as well.READ FULL REVIEW
