Pros: Available, good performance for the price, still has room to tweak clocks. The hidden feature... it is compatible with RX 480 water blocks. Performance within 10% of a RX 480 with similar core clocks.
Cons: Cooler leaves a bit to be desired, but that is offset by the ability to use full coverage waterblocks if you are into that kind of thing.
Other Thoughts: With the stock heatsink you can push up to around 1300 on the core if you don't mind the fan being quite loud. Memory seems to be capable of 1850-1950 depending on your luck. As with any overclock, YMMV.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASRock 970 EXTREME3 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: FX support out of the box, mine worked with BIOS 1.00
Good overclocking for FX-4100 with BIOS 1.20. 4.6Ghz 24/7 overclock can get 4.8Ghz
It has the features I needed at the right price.
Cons: Limited overclocking of FX-6 and FX-8 processors due to a fairly lightweight VRM compared to 990fx boards.
Other Thoughts: If you overclock, make sure to disable APM, C1e, C6, and thermal throttling. If you dont you will show high Mhz, but get bad performance due to the chip throttling.
This throttling is usually not evident in monitoring programs due to it happening faster than the programs refresh cycle.
Pros: Customer service was quick, although shipping to Taiwan was pricey.
Cons: Memory is incompatible with the gigabyte ga-880gm-ud2h v1.0 motherboards for some reason, maybe due to the minimum 1.6v on the VDIMM?
Other Thoughts: Installed in another manufacturers 880g motherboard and works fine, just had to set VDIMM to 1.5vREAD FULL REVIEW
