Pros: Fast easy to install. Ran great while it ran.
Cons: Died after 19 months. System crashed one day and it would not boot. It couldn't see the drive. Neither could 2 other systems. I'll look into warranty.
Other Thoughts: Just glad I backed up the drive to an external disk 4 days ago. I'll look into the 3 year warranty.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Easy setup.
Cons: Download speed doesn't get above 51 Mbps. Without router, speeds were 109 down and 37 up. With the router speeds were 51 down and 37 up.
Other Thoughts: I bought it to replace a d-link that was getting 90 down and 10 up. TP-Link suggested that I RMA it. I paid $27 for it and the return shipping is going to be $12. If the next one doesn't work, it will cost me a total of $24 shipping and I will have no router. I will keep it as a spare as it works well up to that speed.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Vantec 2.5" / 3.5" / 5.25" SATA / IDE to USB 2.0 Adapter - Model CB-ISATAU2
Pros: easy to use
Other Thoughts: It worked for a short time and got me out of a jam so it was worth it.
It died one day and I don't have any idea why or when.
I plug it into my computers, with no drive connected to it, and my computers all say "USB device not recognized". I tried it with a Win 7 with USB 3.0 installed and an XP with USB 3.0 installed and one running XP with usb 1/2.0. None would recognize it. Tried it with a drive connected also and got same results.
I assume it is dead now.
