Pros: Affordable, unlocked cpu, 6-core, low power consumption and easy to overclock.
Cons: Heatsink fan blocks hard drive bay. Must remove fan to access.
Other Thoughts: HEC Vigilance 400 case with 6 fans. Able to overclock cpu to a stable 4.7Ghz with stock heatsink and fan. Temperature of cpu idle - 41 degrees C and with load - 61 degrees C (room at 25 degrees C). Cpu fan reached speeds of 3925 rpm.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: Affordable, onboard video and audio, lan, 4 usb port with the option to add 6 more and bios easy to use for overclocking cpu.
Cons: Needed to bend shield plate tabs that blocked access to land port and one of the usb ports.
Other Thoughts: Having just one PCI and PCI Express x16 slot worked out fine for me. Only needed to add Vision Tek PCI Express X16 HD Radeon 4350 DVI graphic card and Creative Lab PCI SB0410 sound card to handle 3D graphic animation. Two memory slots perfect. All I needed to add 2 Kingston memory modules (2GB each) to run Windows XP 32 bit version.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Large power and reset button, front usb ports and nice case design with plenty of room for additional fans.
Cons: No instructions. It took me awhile to realize that I needed to remove front plate to mount optical drive. Also, need pen to push optical drive button to close door.
Other Thoughts: Wish case fans were 120mm and optical drive door was better designed for easy access.READ FULL REVIEW
