ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Handles my components nicely, fits the color scheme of my computer, and has some pretty neat software.

Cons: Was a good deal when I bought it but now with an extra $5 you can get the non LE version which has more features and usb 3.0 on board.

Other Thoughts: If you can find this mobo on sale I highly recommend it if you going to build a budget pc.

XFX P1-650X-XXB9 650W ATX12V 2.2 & ESP12V 2.91 SLI CrossFire 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Has plenty of wattage for upgrades and overclocking. Good build quality and it's 80+ bronze. Cables are long enough for a mid tower gaming build. Also it is modular; it isn't fully modular, but the cable on the psu are the ones you will need anyway.

Cons: At the time I bought it, it was about $80. Now it seems a bit pricy compared to other options.

AMD FX-6300 Vishera 6-Core 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Desktop Processor FD6300WMHKBOX
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: This cpu is fast and can run any game I throw at it at max settings. It handles my radeon hd 7950 without a problem. It is an unlocked processor so that you can squeeze more performance out of it. Also it has 6 threads which will come in handy in future games.

Cons: Absolutely none.
