Pros: I've had this in my computer for I think two years now...it has been very good to me with good performance and reliability
Other Thoughts: I couldn't list this as a con because it really isn't a dealbreaker, but I thought it is worth mentioning being a silence freak. I have a Seagate Barracuda in my system as well and I have found that the WD is much louder than the Seagate, which I found kind of odd. So if you're contemplating this or the Seagate and want a quieter hard drive, then the Seagate is the better choice. When I say louder, I am referring to the whirring of spinning disks and not disk access. So again, just throwing that out thereREAD FULL REVIEW
Pros: I bought this to be a Linux laptop, so I scrapped the HDD in favor of my own SSD for a speed boost and I don't like HDDs on the go. The battery life is actually decent and I like the keyboard. Despite being refurbished, mine came very clean and almost new I thought. You really can't beat these refurbished business class laptops for the price
Cons: For a business class laptop, it actually feels fairly flimsy and weakish. Maybe it's just because my old Dell Latitude felt like a rock that could be thrown everywhere and survive...but it's not like I plan on throwing this laptop.
Other Thoughts: Everything works out of the box for Linux. Wireless and all which made me happy. I'm running Fedora 23 on it right now with 0 issuesREAD FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Microsoft Windows 10 Home - 64-bit
Pros: It looks good
Cons: I don't even know where to begin...forced updates, Cortana, spyware in a nutshell. Never do express settings or an online account. Do local accounts. There's a Windows 10 tool called DisableWinTracking by 10se1ucgo on GitHub that I used to defang the OS of some of its tracking. The telemetry is nasty too and they backported some of it to Windows 7 and 8/8.1 so I deleted those operating systems off my computers. Do yourself a favor and go back to Windows 8 or 7. The forced updates, spyware and breaking updates that comes up in the news is enough to let you know to not waste your money on this.
Other Thoughts: After this, I'm using GNU/Linux and Mac OS only.READ FULL REVIEW
